bats day recap with pictures!
i wrote a few things about the first few days of the trip, so i'll skip that.....

vending at the black market was amusing. batty and i each sold at least half of our wares which was nice, and i think we ALL bought a bunch of nifty stuff. not to mention the fabulous crap we got from doomie!

i worked through most of the meet & greet, but i still had fun. dinner was tasty, i got some free pics done by the guys with the cool cgi graveyard background.....too bad my dreads are the same color as the green screen. lol met a ton of new people, saw a lot of old friends, made spitecandy's night, and saw some kick ass bands.

**highlight.....while i was working the door jeff zugale(kindergoth and elfquest artist) came by, introduced himself and told me how much fun he had drawing me for the tshirt! *huge grin* then he sat down and hung out with me for like half an hour and drew another pic of me on the back of a flyer. i'll try to get it scanned cuz it's uber cute.

so next morning we're off to disneyland.....on time even!

first thing was to ride the tower of terror. now let me just state i'm totally not ok with the whole dropping elevator thing.....and this time it's not even like they're trying to pass it off as something else. but lasher33 promised i could punch him if i hated it. so we all got on.

omg! i figured it would all be over really quick and i'd live. fuck a bunch of that. it's not just one drop straight down. oh no......they drop you several times, drag you up and down only stopping to show you some really bad ass ghosty hologram stuff when the doors open, or shoot you all the way up to show you outside and then plunge you into the dark and drop you again. needless to say i think i took it better than a few other people. but it was cool as fuck. really. lol

back over to disney for some breakfast/shopping and rides. of course we had to get in a few scenic shots and xhangmanx's daughter had us stalking the mouse.

while they were waiting in line it was decided that i probably didn't have enough sunscreen on.......and we all remember last year's sunburn from hell.......so i sat and fixed the problem.

i'm a little evil in the morning....


so we shopped. we rode stuff. we played phone tag in the black hole of cell phones to try and locate everyone we've ever known. i also learned it's completely useless to have a cell phone that plays a marry poppins song while you're at disneyland......you can NEVER tell if your phone is ringing or not. lmao

i'd made lunch reservations at blue bayou so we all went off to feast in the dark of pirate land. *smirk* this was the beginning of the downslide.........i had invited ratswallow to lunch with us(on his bday even) and we became new partners in crime. at some point it became a dare to see who could do something worse by the end of the day. i thought we might have to flip a coin between him and scarletgoat but in the end i think i might have won.

then the grinch had a wonderful idea. a horrible terrible wonderful idea.
(we split up into groups after lunch and for the next few hours it was me, ratswallow, scarletgoat, batty and vapidvim......oh the horror!)

so we stopped for water........and there someone had left a disposable camera laying on the counter........*looks innocent* i picked it up, started to giggle, and before i could even get the entire sentence out of my mouth ratswallow had understood and was clicking the shutter down his pants. more shots were taken before the entire group quickly scurried away leaving the camera right where we found it. horrible i know, but we just couldn't help it.

we rode lots of other things, laughed so hard a few of us almost died, and unfortunately probably scared some children. but my favorite moment of the entire day was ratswallow's attempt to win the worst thing ever dare.

i was unfortunately laughing too hard to remember that i was holding his camera and should have been taking more pics. but it was truly priceless, and he got lots of applause from the crowd. *grin* he's my new hero.

so back to the haunted mansion after dark for the official count and one uber gothy ride.........

i put on the completely annoying multi colored flashy skulls i made so everyone could find me in the dark

and we all charged into line.......i ended up being #969.

i started to make a phone post from the time we walked into the haunted mansion thru the chamber room. ratswallow was narrating it for me, and there were lots of other funny things to listen to. i'm still completely pouty that it didn't come out.

funniest moment.......right as our doom buggy swung around to face madam leota's room everyone in the whole room laughed and went "there's serret". lmao i had totally forgotten that my skulls were still on and that i was totally obvious. glad i wasn't doing anything i wasn't supposed to be doing! *batts eyelashes*

we all just ended up exhausted at the end of the day and everyone was ready to drop. there were a ton of other people i saw/hung out with all day, but i'm way too lazy to write all the tags and you'd all be so bored you'd shoot me anyway. but i'm unbelievably happy that so many people from home went this year and had a blast! it just means next year will be even more amazing........and i'm honestly not sure how that's even possible.
